SME technology cooperation in CAD applications

During brokerage event AutoDay 2009 organized in Bratislava have met representatives of Strojírenské kovovýrobní družstvo SKD and Slovconcept s.r.o. for the first time and discussed possible mutual collaboration.
Strojírenské kovovýrobní družstvo SKD is a Czech company, which concentrates on precision engineering and tool – making production while specializing in the engineering and production of injection moulds and stamping tools especially for the automotive industry.
Slovconcept, s.r.o. is a Slovakian engineering company, which offers solutions and CAD support (Computer Aided Design) in automotive and aerospace industry for plastic, metallic and composite parts. One of the offered services for its clients is data migration from one CAD system to another due to the multitude of application file formats used in CAD industry.
Strojírenské kovovýrobní družstvo SKD prepares its moulds design concepts and drawings usually in PRO/Engineer software but some of its automotive clients requested documentation and drawings to be done in CATIA V5 software. Hence Strojírenské kovovýrobní družstvo SKD was looking for a reliable and discreet partner with automotive experience for processing, adjustment and migration of confidential CAD data.
Partnership Agreement has now been reached and now both parties enjoy its benefits: Strojírenské kovovýrobní družstvo SKD did not have to heavily invest into new software and staff training. Now uses knowledge and CAD expertise provided by Slovconcept, s.r.o., which by means of this agreement expanded its clients’ base in the Czech Republic.
